In 1988 The United States Government signed The Civil Liberties Act into law, which paid reparations to Japanese-American citizens and residents who were unlawfully detained in interment camps after the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor.

In the year 2027, a bill was introduced on the floor of the California State senate to create a reparations fund for African-Americans by taxing the income of white workers in the music industry.
